Leasing
The Leasing Program allows you to experience owning a horse to gain experience in horsemanship and strengthen your riding skills. Lease riding is NOT a lesson – but a chance to come out and ride FOR FUN!
What’s Included…
On lease days, you may groom, do ground training, ride your horse, or just hang out! Yes! Leasing includes a saddle and bridle and even have the first right to show or purchase a leased horse.

Qualifications are:
Leases will only be extended to riders who demonstrate mastery of all ridden gaits, personal safety of both themselves, and their horse and equipment competency.
Riders take responsibility to not ride above their or their horse’s skill level.
To keep you and our horses safe and happy, some restrictions may apply depending upon your level of experience. For example, we may not let you jump until we've taught you to do so safely.
Rider’s age minimum: Middle School

Not Responsible for…
You are NOT responsible for farrier and veterinary bills during your lease. For example, Rocky Branch assumes costs for training, equine insurance, farrier, and vet services and will provide the means for you to get experience at local show competitions and clinics.
leasing options available…
$ 50 - One Ride Lease: Riding Academy students may lease an extra ride time for independent practice or just plain fun. A One Ride Lease is a 2 hour scheduled block of time.

$ 480 - Monthly Part Time Lease for Riders of the Academy
.....1 lesson per week included
.....1 practice ride per week
.....Allows riders to practice on their favorite horse

$ 680 - Monthly Full Time Lease for Riders of the Academy
.....1 lesson per week included
.....2 practice rides per week
.....Allows riders to practice on their favorite horse
For parents, leasing is a great opportunity to increase riding skills and answer the question of “Mom & Dad…I WANT a HORSE!”.
Because… if lessons and lease days of riding and they STILL want to go to the barn everyday — THEN it might be time to start thinking about a horse of their own!,,, its probably time to check our the buying page!
